Editorial Team

The editorial structure of Revista Eletrônica Direito & TI (RED & TI) consists of the following elements: (a) Editorial Board; (b) Scientific Editorial Board; (c) Editor-in-Chief; and (d) Evaluators.

The Editorial Board of (RED & TI), made up of twelve members (up to 30), is made up of prominent researchers and professors in the area, from the academic community of Law & Information Technology. The names must be proposed and approved by the Council of Doctors, already a member. In the total of twelve members, the Editor-in-Chief is included.

The Editorial Board is responsible for:

Coordinate the process of choosing, approving and validating the name of the Editor-in-Chief;
Ensure the fulfillment of the duties of the editors and replace them if their duties are not being fulfilled properly;
Deliberate on decisions regarding editorial policies of (RED & TI), such as: changes in mission, scope and focus, target audience, visual identity, editorial process and periodicity;
Develop the activity of ombudsman through the appointment of an agent; and
Discuss and approve changes to rules on submission and approval of scientific texts.

Boss Editor

The Editor-in-Chief coordinates the editorial process seeking to promote the development of works submitted to (RED & TI), by their authors, reviewers and reviewers. The choice of the Editor-in-Chief should consider factors such as: scientific leadership, recognition of the community, history of acting as reviewer and author and his work project for the journal.

The Editor-in-Chief may only publish reviews and essays on (RED & TI).

The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for:

Coordinate the team involved with the journal, including reviewers / reviewers;
Review the admission of articles submitted to the journal (desk review);
Recommend the inclusion and replacement of members of the Scientific Editorial Board;
Indicate reviewers / reviewers for articles submitted for publication;
Forward the recommendation for changes in the content of submitted articles;
Inform the corresponding author of the editorial decision to accept / not accept at the end of the evaluation process; and
Decide on the approval or rejection of articles and the publication time.

The Editor-in-Chief should aim to:

Continuously improve the journal and its editorial management processes;
Promote the speed of the editorial process;
Keep a record of evaluators' performance evaluations, especially in aspects related to the quality of opinions and deadlines incurred for issuing opinions;
Guide the authors on everything that is expected of them;
Ensure compliance with the deadlines for issuing opinions and disclosure of articles;
Mediate the relationship between reviewers / reviewers and authors; and
Designate guest editors (external to RED & TI) for the purpose of editing articles authored by members of the Editorial Board of RED & TI submitted to the journal.

Scientific Editorial Board

The RED & TI Scientific Editorial Board is a multi-institutional collegiate, made up of full-fledged specialists in the national and / or international academic community, distributed in terms of both their scientific and geographic fields, covering different regions of Brazil and other countries and the widest range of scientific fields in the field.

The Scientific Editorial Board of RED & TI is formed by researchers, chosen by the Editor-in-Chief of the periodical advising him on:

Desk review of articles submitted for publication;
Choice of evaluators;
Special committee to solve problems related to ethical publication policies; and
Other decisions regarding the scientific aspects of the journal's editorial process, whenever requested by one of the Editors.

Reviewers / Evaluators

The Reviewers / Evaluators develop the analysis of the articles, distributed blindly, based on a set of defined elements, such as interest for the journal, methodology, reference, clarity, among others. It is possible that they recommend changes to the paper, indicate it for publication, suggest new revisions or reject it. These subsidies are used by the Editor-in-Chief, to decide whether or not to accept the articles.

Reviewers / Evaluators are scholars with recognition in the national or international academic community. Your selection seeks to cover both the various scientific fields of specialization, as well as geographical diversity, including different regions of Brazil and other countries. The reviewers are invited by the Editor-in-Chief to be part of the journal's research group and, within their areas of expertise, the invitation is extended to the analysis of the works.

As long as demand demands, each line of research may have "Ad-Hoc" Editors per line in order to collaborate with the work of the Editor-in-Chief.
