THE CONFLICT BETWEEN PERSONALITY RIGHTS AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES:
AN ETHICAL AND LEGAL ANALYSIS

The main objective of this research is to deepen the analysis of the conflict that emerges between personality rights and technological advances, proposing a comprehensive investigation from ethical and legal perspectives. Personality rights, in this context, are understood as a set of legal and moral rights whose fundamental purpose is to protect human dignity and safeguard the most intimate aspects of people's lives. With the rapid and constant advancement of technology in modern society, complex challenges and ethical dilemmas arise that directly affect these personality rights. Aspects to be considered include not only moral integrity, but also crucial issues related to individual privacy, the security and protection of personal data, as well as the preservation of individual freedom in an increasingly digitalized and interconnected environment. This research has as its main focus the analysis of the effects of technological innovations on personality rights and, in a complementary way, seeks to investigate in depth the ethical implications that arise in this context. To achieve these objectives, the methodology used falls into three main categories: deductive, descriptive and bibliographic. In summary, this research aims to deepen our understanding of the conflict between personality rights and technological advances, highlighting the ethical and legal challenges associated with this complex interaction. The deductive, descriptive and bibliographic methodology will be used to provide a comprehensive and grounded analysis of the topics investigated.
